Gail Couper
Gail Couper is a competitive surfer from the 1960s who won the 1966 Australian Title at Coolangatta, Gold Coast, Queensland and again in 1967. She placed fourth in the 1966 World Championships in San Diego, California. In 1968 Gail competed in the World Surfing Championships in Puerto Rico. Gail had footprints painted on her board to know where to stand best for the design.
